SALMONELLA FOUND IN THREE BRANDS OF CHICKEN BURGER

The health services on Friday recalled three frozen chicken burger brands after salmonella was detected following lab tests.



The recalled batches concern the chicken burger brands: ΚΡΕΑΤΟΜΠΟΥΤΙΚ Μ. ΓΙΩΡΓΑΛΛΗ PLUS Ξυλότυμπου (Kreatoboutique M. Yiorkalli Plus Xylotympou),   ΚΟΥΖΑΛΟΠΟΥΛΟ (Kouzalopoulo) ΜΠΙΦΤΕΚΙ CHICKENBURGER and Chicken burgers Alfa Theodosiou Frozen Foods.

The production date for the contaminated batch of the burgers of Kreatoboutique M. Yiorkalli Plus Xylotympou is May 11, 2017, and the best-by date is November 11, 2017.

The production date for Kouzalopoulo chicken burgers is January 25, 2017 and best-by date is January 25, 2018. The packages weigh 600g and are packed in soft plastic with a nylon cover.

As for the third product, that of Alfa Theodosiou frozen products, production date is May 13, 2017 and sell-by date is March 13, 2018. The packages weigh 520g and are packed in soft plastic with a nylon cover.

The health services have already given instructions to the producers to withdraw the batches in question from the market immediately. Since some of them may already have been purchased, it said, consumers are urged to avoid eating the products in question and return them to the point of purchase.
