On Friday 9 June, residents in Kamares Avenue were alerted when they heard noise coming from the rough ground [full of wild shrubs] next to their property. The owner went to investigate and the noise stopped as soon as his presence was known. However, the noise started again with apparently two people moving through the vegetation and descending the hill.
The owner made his way down to the lower road and, unbeknown to him, others had blocked the upper road.
The strangers moved around in panic but finally managed to escape through the upper road.
Another resident had also heard noise and gone to investigate having been alerted by his dog. One of the men was described as wearing blue trousers [probably jeans] with a dark brown hooded jacket [with hood pulled up over his head] and with a large bag hung diagonally from the shoulder across the body. No description of the second man was given.
The Police responded and found that a property in the area had been burgled.
