ROAD TAX REMINDER FOR THOSE WHO PAY QUARTERLY OR SIX-MONTHLY

From Cyprus Mail 21 June 2017 - article by Staff Reporter

Vehicle owners who pay quarterly or six-month road tax licences that expire at the end of June, will be able to renew them as of July 1, it was announced on Wednesday.

Road tax will be payable, without extra charge, until September 8, 2017 at any bank, citizens’ service centre, district post office, district office of the road transport department, or at http://rtd.mcw.gov.cy.http://rtd.mcw.gov.cy/
Following that date, a late payment charge will be levied to the tune of €10 plus 10 per cent of the tax due for the year.

Owners who had paid road tax for the second quarter or the first half of 2017, but do not intend to do so for the rest of year, must submit a “request to immobilise” the vehicle to the Road Transport Department.
