Most employees in Cyprus are qualified and qualified. In recent decades more and more people are choosing to study a profession, so today Cyprus has one of the highest percentages in the EU of skilled and skilled labour.
According to the employment map of our country, a total of 417,057 people work, of whom 220,256 are men and 196,801 women. In second place are service employees and salespeople. A total of 75,882 people work, of whom 43,281 are women and 32,601 are men. In third place are unskilled workers. There are 59,798 people employed in this sector. And in this category women are more as 36,482 are employed. After all, the number of men who are unskilled workers is 23,316. This is followed by technicians, assistants and special scribes whose number reaches 49,574. Of these, 24,945 are men and 24,630 are women.
Meanwhile another 49,436 workers are production technicians. In this category the number of male technicians is very high as 47,206 employees are employed. On the other hand, only 2,229 women work as craftsmen. In addition, 47,427 persons work as scribes, typists and typists, of whom 34,737 are women and 12,691 are men. Another professional industry that absorbs more men is machine and tool operators. A total of 23,837 people work, of whom 21,320 are men and 2,067 are women.
Also 16,391 employees are directors and administrators. The managerial positions are mainly held by men, which is evidenced by the data of the Statistical Office. Specifically, 12,371 men and 4,021 women worked as managers. At the same time, another 7,963 people are working as military personnel. Of these, 6,626 are men and 1,338 are women. In last place are 6,996 persons working in the agri-farming sectors. A total of 5,301 men work as farmers, ranchers and fishermen and 1,695 women.
