Outside bars and other places frequented by young people, mobile sampling units will be set up during the night hours in the next period, since the aim of the Ministry of Health is to identify as many positive people as possible for the virus and achieve their isolation as quickly as possible.
As Health Minister Konstantinos Ioannou said in a statement, this audit will be carried out within the framework of the programme of 5,000 samples that will now be carried out every fortnight on a pancyprian basis and will aim to capture the epidemiological picture presented by Cypriot society. As Konstantinos Ioannou mentioned, the first 5,000 checks will be made to deal with people up to 40 years old.
He also pointed out that "it is important that those returning from holiday remain as limited as possible in the first days of their return, as they may, despite the first negative test, experience symptoms along the way".
