NEW APPLICATION FOR AUGUST SUPPORT - WHO QUALIFIES?

The Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance announced that the Decisions of the Minister of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance on the implementation of the Special Plans to deal with the effects of COVID 19 virus have been published today, in the Official Journal of the Republic, for the period from 1 August 2020 to 31 August 2020.

In particular, the Decisions concern the following Specific Projects:

i. Special Plan of Hotel Units and Tourist Accommodations (Decision No. 40, C.D.P. 393/2020)

ii. Special Plan of Economic Activities Related to the Tourism Industry or Economic Activities directly affected by Tourism or Economic Activities related to Enterprises under Compulsory Full Suspension (Decision No. 41, I.R.S. 394/2020)

iii. Special Plan for the Complete Suspension of the Company's Operations (Decision No. 42, C.I.P. 395/2020)

iv. Special Plan for Enterprises of Certain Economic Activities (Decision No. 43, C.I.P. 396/2020)

v. Special Support Plan for the Unemployed (Decision No. 44, C.I.P. 397/2020)

vi. Special Draft of Certain Categories of Self-Employees Decision (Decision No. 45, C.I.P. 398/2020)

This will be followed by an announcement on the posting of applications to participate in the August 2020 Special Projects. All those who fall under the beneficiaries of the Special Projects must submit a new online application on the special website www.coronavirus.mlsi.gov.cy in order to receive the relevant allowance for the period August, as long as they meet the terms and conditions.

It is stressed that in order to be able to pay the Special Benefits, the appropriate Bank Account Information Statement mentioned in each application must also be submitted, provided that it has not already been submitted and confirmed.
