NEW PAPHOS WALKWAY' AIMS TO SERVE EVERYONE'

A new walkway has been unveiled on the beachfront between downtown Paphos and Geroskipou village, much to the delight of the Paphos Municipality.

The path was recently released to the public following lengthy works to get it ready in time for the summer.

“This new walkway is two kilometres long and starts from the Ayios Nicolaos Church and ends at the Almyra Hotel,” said Paphos Deputy Mayor Christos Makariou.

“This walkway has enriched the area and will serve not only pedestrians but also joggers and local businesses like cafes, bars and restaurants. New lighting and benches have also been included.”

The construction cost came to around €200,000.
