Mea Culpa
I am not as conscientious about this blog as I should be, for which I apologize. But since the holidays ended I have resumed the new Links of the Week at my BSI Archival History website, and added a bunch of stuff elsewhere there, including highlights of my own from the BSI weekend in New York, that are best accessed through the website's Editor's Gas-Bag at http://www.bsiarchivalhistory.org/BSI_Archival_History/Gas-Bag.html.
Woody Hazelbaker's World will take a while longer to resume. Working against a deadline, Dan Stashower and I are annotating the text of A. Conan Doyle's first, never published, attempt at a novel, and writing a critical introduction for it. The book will be published by the British Library in the autumn. The Narrative of John Smith (which in his 1924 autobiography Memories and Adventures Conan Doyle described not entirely honestly as having been lost forever in the post in 1883) is not the sort of work one usually thinks of as a Conan Doyle novel. But it is proving to be a source of considerable discoveries about his reading, thinking, and future literary trajectory at the time when he was a struggling young physician in Southsea, struggling even hard to become a published writer. Reading the ms., it can be difficult to believe that in just a year -- he was rewriting it from memory in 1884 -- he would create Sherlock Holmes and write A Study in Scarlet. But many elements of that first Sherlock Holmes tale asee light first in this earlier manuscript of his, not to mention of his subsequent Holmes tales and other literary work of his.

Malawi - One of Africa's Beautiful Countries
Malawi is a landlocked country and used to be known as Nyasaland. The country is bordered by Zambia to the northwest, Tanzania to the northeast and Mozambique on the east, south and west. It has a population of around 14million people and covers an area of 118,00km2. It's separated from Tanzania and Mozambique by Lake Malawi. The country's name comes from the word Maravi an old name for a local community known as Nyanja that used to inhabit the area.
Malawi is not very developed and the most attributable reason to this is that it's very densely populated. However, the economy relies mostly on agriculture. A lot of fishing also takes place from Lake Malawi and the country exports a lot of it to other countries. One of the favorite fish species exported from the country is known as Chambo. Before, the country was known as Nyasaland while under the rule of the British. The country received Doctor David Livingstone as one the earliest European visitors back in 1859 after the Portuguese had left.
Malawi has nice tourist attractions like the Golomoti Escarpment. Visitors can also take boat rides in Lake Malawi. One can also access great African rivers like Zambezi and Shire while in this country. To the south of Lake Malawi lies the Shire Highlands that rise 3,000 feet above sea level. Also the Zomba and Mlanje mountain peaks can be observed and they rise 7,000 feet or 2,134m and 10,000 feet or 3,048 above sea level. The country's capital is Lilongwe, but the biggest city is called Blantyre, a commercial hub with a population of around 500, 000 people.

Ne zaman nerede gördüğümü hatırlamıyorum. Aşağıdaki sözü görmüş, defterime not etmiştim.

Well, here we are again in the Nashville area with schools closed and the routines upset! Don't let this keep you from your workout. If you are home with the kids and can't do your regular routine, change it up and make it fun. Get out and have a snow ball fight or hike in the snow with the kids and dogs. Play chase, run and jump! Have fun and get moving and enjoy this beautiful sunny snowy day!
Sunshine during the Rain
Despite a brief respite (48 degrees), it is still bitterly cold in Dallas. And if you want to know what is getting me through the long weeks of gloomy skies, 30 degree chill, and misty rain. Nope, not a heavy winter coat--it is this Henri Bendel clutch.
While shopping with my grandparents in Boca Raton, I happened to discover they have a Henri Bendel, an accessories and handbag haven.
Luckily, (with only very few stores peppered across the country) I happened to leave a city that had one (San Diego) move to a city with a Bendel’s (Dallas) and most importantly vacation in a spot with one (Boca Raton) so I could happen upon this steal: 50% off orange assymetrical faux crocodile clutch.
It is the perfect color to remind me that sunshine is just around the corner and adds just the right amount of punch to any outfit!
