SALMONELLA IN FOOD ON THE CYPRIOT MARKET

The Ministry of Health informs the consumer that the Health Services of the Ministry have received information from the competent Authority of the United Kingdom, through the Early Warning System for Food and Feed (RASFF),according to which the nuts contained in the above mentioned food have been detected the presence of the salmonella microbe, in violation of the provisions of the applicable food legislation.

The Health Services of the Ministry of Health, after evaluating the data, and took into account that, although the supplier withdraws the food concerned from the points of sale, it is possible that a certain quantity of the product concerned is already in the possession of consumers. Consumers who may have purchased the product in question are therefore invited to avoid consuming it and return it to the places where they bought it.
