So you say you are ready to give losing weight a try. Are you ready for the medical consequences and the expense down the road if you do not start now? Just think of how much energy you will gain and how much healthier you will feel. Not to mention all the weight you left behind.
If you make a commitment to yourself and set realistic goals I feel one can achieve anything they set out to do. Write them down as a constant reminder to yourself. Weigh yourself frequently and note the progress made. Find your inner motivation and say I will succeed. You must change your perspective on the things of the past and start new things that will be habit- forming for a better future.
As with any new physical endeavor speak with your family physician or get involved with a weight loss program that is doctor monitored. Your doctor will probably suggest to start eating healthier foods and skip on all the snacks. Eating well balanced all natural foods is key to any good weight loss program. His next suggestion to you would be to begin a gradual exercise routine and start the habit- forming process.
I believe a good diet uses a combination of various approaches and just does not focus on one aspect. When choosing a diet, choose one that is low in fat, saturated fat, cholesterol and moderate in sugars. Eat well balanced all natural foods in smaller meals throughout the day and turn off that TV. Count your calories and cut back if necessary. Remember what works for one individual, may not yield the same results for you so keep trying until you find the one that works for you.
However weight loss is to general a term for me. Weight loss is not as important as the exercise routine or fitness achieved, and it is far more important to focus on your body's fat percentage than your weight. With this in mind the long- term results of weight loss are substantially greater than that of short- term. By keeping weight off or maintained there will be decreased odds of medical expenses in the future.
Now it is the time for you to take the first step on the road to weight loss success. Remember it is your health and well- being that is at stake and it could eventually hurt your pocketbook too. Just think of all the new healthy natural foods you will be eating and the newly created exercise habit formed to create a healthy thinner you.
