Enlightenment campaign by EUCPN and 26 European countries

With a view to preventing and strengthening the fight against home burglaries, the European 

Crime Prevention Network (EUCPN) is currently launching a campaign to inform and inform 

the public in 26 European countries today, 21 October 2020.

 

As the international organisation states, in a communication on today's information campaign, 

home burglaries are a phenomenon that concerns all European countries, with their agencies fighting 

to eradicate it.

 

Home burglaries certainly have an economic impact both on victims and more broadly on society. 

At the same time, however, it can also cause significant negative psychological effects. In a break-in

noted by the Network, the perpetrator not only steals the property of the victims; he can 

simultaneously "steal" from them and the sense of security that we all have for our home.

 

For these reasons, 26 European countries, EUCPN and EUROPOL, join forces informing the 

public and calling on each individual citizen to take their own measures to safeguard their property.
