Skydiver dies in Arizona – level 1
A lot of skydivers meet in Arizona, USA. They are from 28 countries. They want to break a world record.
They train for 18 months. They want to jump, and make a special formation.
They try the jump for the first time. An accident happens. One skydiver’s parachute is bad. It does not open. The skydiver has another parachute. It opens too late. The skydiver dies.
The skydiver was a woman. She was an experienced skydiver. She did 1,500 jumps. She was from Germany.
Difficult words: skydiver (person who jumps from a plane with a parachute), parachute (thing which makes you fall slowly), experienced (she was good at skydiving).
