Standard war jet skis and flexible fast small four-wheel drive vehicles are being tested by the British in their exercises at Akrotiri and direct image transmission technologies from the battlefield, such as the advanced Malloy T-150 quadcopter-type (unmanned flying drones) and sophisticated software for their exploitation. The Malloy T-150 quadcopter drone has air transport capabilities with high speed ammunition, supplies etc. weighing up to 68 kg and at distances of up to 70 km. Artificial intelligence applications were also tested.
The exercises of the Special Commando Forces of the British Royal Navy in Cyprus, for the testing of new systems for emergency and special operations units, began in September and will be completed at the end of November. A total of 1,000 members of the British navy participate in them. The new armament that is being tested in some cases for the first time, in exercises in Cyprus, has been indicated by the "Future Commando Force" team and the exercises are carried out by the "Littoral Strike Group" units which are the experimental stage of the evolution of the British special forces.
The main scenarios of the exercises mainly provide for the extermination of risks and destruction of targets by a base of flexible warships such as HMS Albion found for this purpose off Akrotiri, for operations in politically sensitive or high-risk areas.
Exercises with military standards, very fast and difficult to locate jet skis, are used in exercises, both for the rapid transport of small groups of commandos from sea to land and vice versa, as well as for the transport of ammunition, weapons, supplies or medical equipment ashore. It should be noted that a joint exercise with the National Guard was also carried out in the context of these exercises.
