ROAD WORKS WHERE TRAFFIC DISRUPTION CAN BE EXPECTED

Work is being carried out in various areas of the road network these days, which may have a negative impact on traffic. The Police call on drivers of vehicles to be transported in the areas where the work is carried out, to move at a safe, low speed, to maintain safety distances from the vehicles in front and to comply with traffic signs.

 

From this morning Monday, until next Friday, October 30th, on the Nicosia -Limassol motorway, in the department of Chirokotia - Mouttayakas, work is being carried out to replace information plates. During their duration, the left lane to Limassol is partially closed for a distance of about one kilometre and traffic is channelled into the right lane. Work is carried out from 9.30 in the morning until 3.00 in the afternoon.

 

On the Larnaca –Paralimni motorway, in the underground section that passes under the roundabout of Rizoellia, work is currently being carried out by the Department of Forests, for pruning trees on the central islet and on the base of the road. During their duration, it closes partially for a distance of about 200 meters, the base of the road in both directions. The work will last until 10 November. They will be held daily, except weekends and public holidays, from 8.30 in the morning until 2.30 in the afternoon.

 

It is recalled that, on the highway Rizoellia -Paralimni, work continues on the maintenance of the road, which takes place from 7.00 in the evening, until 6.00 in the morning, daily. They take place in the section of the motorway from the exit to Xylotymbou, up to the exit to Vorokini, in the direction from Larnaca to Paralimni. During them, both lanes to Paralimny are partially closed for a distance of about three kilometres and traffic is channelled into the opposite direction to Larnaca, which operates with two-way traffic. Work is expected to be completed next Thursday, October 29.

 

On the old road Paphos -Limassol, from the exit of Avdimos and for a distance of about 850 meters, in the direction to Limassol, work has begun on a private telecommunications company. During their duration, the right lane is partially closed for a distance of approximately 80 metres and traffic is channelled into the left lane. At the same time, traffic will be regulated with temporary, mobile traffic lights. Work is carried out from 7.00 a.m., until 4.00 p.m., daily, except weekends and the 28 October Holiday and is expected to be completed on 3 November.

 

Also on the old road Paphos -Limassol, from tomorrow Tuesday, October 27th, until November 20th, work will be carried out by a private telecommunications company. Work will be carried out from Pissouri Bay to Pissouri Police Station, from 7.00 in the morning until 4.00 in the afternoon daily, except on weekends and the public holiday of 28 October. During their duration, the right lane will be partially closed in the direction to Limassol, for a distance of about 80 meters and traffic will be channelled into the left lane of course. At the same time, traffic will be regulated with temporary, mobile traffic lights.
