The obligation of self-isolation for 14 days to travellers flying from Cyprus to the United Kingdom has been imposed from next Sunday by the British Government, due to increased cases of coronavirus.
Transport Minister Grant Shapps, as he did every Thursday, announced via Twitter the countries removed from the BRITISH Government's Travel Corridors list, with Cyprus and Lithuania being placed off this "green" list.
The new policy on arrivals from Cyprus will take effect from 4 a.m. on Sunday local time.
The data is assessed by the relevant UK authorities every week.
As is standard practice in these cases, the British Foreign Office has also renewed the travel recommendation for Cyprus, advising British citizens against any unnecessary travel to Cyprus.
It does not, however, recommend an immediate return for those Britons who have already travelled to Cyprus.
