Volunteer Recruitment Day
PAWS Dog Shelter (C.A.P.C.A.) is holding a Volunteer Recruitment Day on the 24th October. The shelter depends on volunteers in order to maintain a clean and pleasant place for the dogs to live and to help feed the shelter’s 150 dogs 365 days of the year.
Just now PAWS is short of volunteers and so needs to recruit dedicated people, who love dogs, to join our fantastic team.
What does PAWS expect from volunteers?? Well, each volunteer gets their own section to clean. Each section has about 13 dogs, all of which need human interaction. So, whilst spending time with the dogs each pen needs to be cleaned, the poop picked up, fresh water given, and each dog fed individually. It is not a hurried job; in fact, we like it when volunteers stay and spend time with the dogs. Volunteers start their shift between 6am and 8am and can stay until 12 noon.
If you think this is something for you then please come on the 24th to speak to some of the current volunteers and Matt (Kennel Manager) and Susi (Export Manager). If you cannot make it on that day but are interested, please call Matt on 99683775 to arrange a suitable time to come to the shelter.
