The health ministry is expanding access to various forms of health care, including psychological support, for those at the reception centres in Kofinou and Menogia.

As per the health ministry announcement on Monday, for those in Menoyia, illegal migrants, there is general nursing care available all day long, throughout the week.

Again in Menoyia, there is also mental health care available from Monday to Friday between 7am to 1pm. There are also health visits every Wednesday between 4pm and 8pm.

As for asylum seekers in Kofinou, general nursing care is available from Monday to Friday between 7am and 1pm. Mental health care is available Monday to Friday within the hours of 7am and 1pm.

There are also health visits every Monday between 4pm and 8pm.

The EU is heavily involved in assisting with the provision of medical care to those in the reception and detention centres.

The project which grants increased care began in 2017 and offers aid to both asylum seekers and illegal migrants.
