In an attempt to curb the spread of the coronavirus police carried out 1,065 checks nationwide in 24 hours from Thursday until Friday.
Officers booked four premises and 10 individuals during this time, most of them for not wearing face masks.
In Nicosia, just one individual was fined as the result of 134 inspections.
In Limassol, where 180 checks were made, two people were booked, while in Larnaca four people were booked and 185 checked.
Most checks were carried out in the Famagusta area, 200, resulting in two individuals and one establishment being booked.
Three businesses were fined in Paphos, and one individual.
Of the 1,065 checks 137 were carried out in the ports but no one was caught violating the protocols.
