A temporary order suspending the operation of a premises was issued today by the Paphos District Court, following a request made by the Police, since during the daily checks for the implementation and observance of the protection measures against the spread of the coronavirus, repeated violations of the Infectious Cleansing Act and the relevant Ministerial Decrees were found.
It is a kiosk in the province of Paphos, where during the checks carried out by the Police, on four different dates, violations of the relevant legislation on infectious dialysis were found. At the same time, it was found that the kiosk was operating without the necessary permission from the local authority.
During checks carried out by members of the Department of Minor Incidents, the Paphos Central Police Station, on 14 and 20 June and last Thursday, 20 August, it was found, inter alia, that there was insufficient signage in the premises, while the staff did not take the necessary individual protective measures.
In addition, during an inspection carried out at the premises on 6 August by members of the Paphos Police Directorate, it was found that the premises were larger than the number of persons allowed, while the employee at the cashier did not follow the necessary individual protection measures during customer service.
Against the Directorate of the premises, it was registered on Monday morning, in the District Court of Paphos, for trial, a case of violations of the Law on infectious catalysis, while with its listing, the Police submitted a request for a temporary suspension order of the premises, until the case was heard, which was accepted by the Court.
The case has been set by the Paphos District Court for next Friday, August 28th.
