Singer and composer Christina Argyri will perform for the first time at Technopolis 20 stage, on a night full of jazzy sounds, along with Ioannis Vafeas (drums), Michael Messios (bass) and Christos Yerolatsitis (piano). Christina studied Jazz Performance at the Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts and since then she writes music for musicals and theatrical productions. She counts numerous collaborations with the biggest theatres in the island with great success, like THOC, SATIRIKON etc. Her voice has been chosen by Disney USA and has "lent" it to many Disney heroes in Greek-dubbed productions. In her assets she counts numerous recordings and participations in album recordings and live performances with Greek and Cypriot artists. Christina Argyri will be accompanied by three well-known musicians of the Cypriot jazz scene. Pianist Christos Yerolatsitis, bassist Michalis Messios and drummer Ioannis Vafeas. The three artists count many hours on the stage as leaders or band members with important appearances at international jazz festivals and major scenes. The venue takes all the necessary precautions and follows the instructions announced by the government, in order to ensure your health and safety. Christina Argyri (voice) studied Jazz Performance at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, from where she graduated with honours Magna Cum Laude. She is a permanent partner to Walt Disney Animation Pictures, Dreamworks and Mattel (Greece) and has voiced many roles in classic movies and animated television series, like "The Beauty and the Beast", "The Lion King", "Babi the deer", "The Prince of Egypt", "My brother the bear", "Barbie and the diamond castle", "Phineas", "Mickey Mouse" etc. She designed the vocals and performed them in performances of D. Galanis G. Theofanous, C. Dantis, A. Protopsalti, E. Arvanitaki, S. Rouva, G. Marinou, M. Hatzigianni and others. She sang in concerts in Greece, Europe and America with S. Rouvas, D. Galani, A. Protopsalti, Iro etc., as well as in jazz and pop-rock performances. She taught music in the musicals "Rent", "I'll take you to leave", in "Marinella meets Vembo" (Badminton Theater). She is responsible for the music teaching for the musical "Priscila, Queen of the Desert" (Athens) and "We have a life", "Dimentia", "The little horror shop" in Cyprus. She was a professor at the University of Nicosia and at the Filippos Nakas Conservatory. She was also a voice teacher at the TV show "Greek Idol". She represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest as a Lead singer (2000, Sweden, duet with Alex Panagis). She wrote the music and played in the production "The (M) adam's Family", which was staged in the winter of 2015 at the Engomi Theater, Nicosia (screenplay by Lea Maleni, Christina Konstantinou, Thanassis Ioannou). She also wrote the music for the production "Chocolate Adventures" (Satirikon Theater, 2016). She was honoured with the Cyprus Theater Award for the music of the play "The (M) adam's Φfamily" (produced by Persona Theater Group, 2014-2015).

Ioannis Vafeas (drums) studied Jazz music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and did his master’s degree in Jazz Studies at the Boston Conservatory. The years that followed found Ioannis busy in the music industry performing, recording and teaching music. He performs regularly in major festivals, concert halls and prestigious jazz clubs all over the world. Vafeas attended festivals and venues in Germany, Poland, England, Lebanon, Greece, Kuwait, Italy, the U.S, Serbia and shared the stage with great artists and Symphony Orchestras. He has numerous collaborations in cd’s, recordings and theatre productions. Since 2002 Vafeas is teaching Music in public schools. He’s been teaching Jazz Music at private universities in Cyprus since 2009. His credits also include drum seminars on soiling and brush playing in various universities and music schools. In April 2017 he released his first album entitled “Bridge of Locks” with the IOANNOU/VAFEAS quartet. His upcoming album CATHARSIS will be released in 2020 presenting original compositions of Cypriot Composers. He is the Artistic Director of the Cultural Organization A. VAFEA JAZZ Projects (www.avafeajazzprojects.com). He is endorsing Zildjian Cymbals since 2009.

Michael Messios (bass) attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston MA with a scholarship. He studied music composition, and jazz performance. His return in Cyprus found him busy in the music industry as a member in various ensembles. The Petsteppers, Charis Ioannou Trio, Cyprus big band, Tassos Stylianou Trio, where he performs and composes. He has participated in major Jazz Festivals like the Krakow Jazz Festival in Bologna, the Kuwait Jazz Festival, Mitrovica Jazz Festival in Serbia, the Crete Jazz Festival and played in prestigious jazz clubs like the VORTEX in London. In 2013 he created his own band with the name “Michael Messios Symmetry Band” which performs his compositions only. His music is influenced by Contemporary and traditional Jazz and distinguished for its strong melody, harmony, complicated rhythms and motives. MESSIOS is an endorsing artist of the ‘‘ASHDOWN AMPS''.

Christos Yerolatsitis (piano) the Cypriot pianist, keyboardist and composer has an interest in various music genres, Christos’s music can be characterised as colourful, intuitive and diverse. Christos moved to The Netherlands in 2008 where he lived for 9 years. Soon after his arrival he got into the Dutch jazz scene and performed all around the country with well-known artists, such as Benjamin Herman, John Ruocco, Simon Rigter, Ben van den Dungen, Ben Van Gelder and others. In 2016 he appeared in the biggest theatres of the country with the “Eef van Breen Group” in cooperation with the extremely successful theatre production “Borgen”. In 2017 he moved to Mumbai where he got employed as the head of the Piano department of the True School of Music, one of India’s biggest music schools. During his stay in India, Christos has performed with many bands in music festivals and jazz clubs and shared the stage with names such as Ranjit Barot (John Maclaughlin’s drummer) and Erik Truffaz (trumpet) as well as Indian Carnatic musicians like Sabir Khan (Indian Sarangi player) and Bangalore Amrit (Indian Khanjira). Christos is currently based in Cyprus working with various International bands as a leader and a sideman.
