Police announced a campaign beginning on Monday until October 30 where they will clamp down on drink driving, and the sale and consumption of alcohol to minors.
During the week there will be increased patrols and checks both on the roads at at sale points for alcohol, they said.
Driving under the influence has been the main cause of fatal accidents in Cyprus over the past five years with 29 per cent of total fatalities being caused by drunk drivers.
