IMMOVABLE PROPERTY TAX DEADLINE 2014 EXTENDED

If you have not already paid your immovable property tax to the tax authority in Paphos, please note that the deadline for payment has been extended by one month to 31 December, after which date penalties for non-payment will apply.

Also, the deadline for qualification of the 15% prompt payment discount has been extended from 31 October to 30 November.

Please remember that if you do not have your title deeds you still have to pay this tax if the 1980 value of your property is in excess of €12,500.  If you have not received an invoice, you need to go down to the tax office [opposite the law courts], go up to the first floor.  As you exit the stairwell or lift, turn left and go into the office immediately on your left.    They should be able to either calculate your tax or pass you to someone who can assist.   Please have your passport with you as you may be required to complete some paperwork. Payment then has to be made at the cashiers office on the ground floor, or at a Bank or via JCC online.
