Twenty-six premises and 16 civilians were reported by the Police for violating measures against the spread of the coronavirus, out of a total of 953 checks from 6.00 on Friday morning until 6.00 on Saturday.
As a representative of the Press Office of the Police Headquarters told the CYPE, the most important complaint of a premises concerns a café in Nicosia, which was issued with an out-of-court fine of €8,000 for not respecting the distances for the seats, the employees did not carry protective masks and gloves, there were no antiseptics or thermometers.
In Limassol, premises were reported for non-use of a mask and out-of-court fines were issued, 500 euros, in Larnaca there were no complaints.
According to the same representative, most of the complaints were in Paphos and amount to 16.
Most of the complaints in Paphos concerned the work of employees without a mask. Among them, three premises were fined €1,000 for overcrowding. In addition, 10 premises were reported for infringements to be brought before the Court of Justice.
In Famagusta there were 3 complaints of non-use of a mask.
