TALA COUNCIL ELECTION -- SUNDAY 18 DECEMBER

Voting will take place this Sunday, 18 December.   The voting station will be open from 7am to 12 noon, and then from 1pm to 5pm.

Voting takes place at the School opposite the abandoned Pafilia building site and, as you come up from the Co-Op Bank, it is on the left hand side of the road. 

You will need with you your voting book.   In previous years, voters have been split into two different rooms depending on the number shown in your voting book.

I will be at the Cliff Bar from 10am to 12noon on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, and also at the Kamares Club on Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm if you have any queries or need any other help.



SUNDAY 18 DECEMBER
When you arrive to vote, you will be given two slips of paper.

1  Slip to vote for the mukhtar - there are 4 candidates and you have ONE vote.
    Candidate one - Marios Varnavides
    Candidate two - Ephraim Ephraim
    Candidate three - Marios Karamanlis
    Candidate four - Areti Pieridou

2  Slip for council members.  This is quite a long piece of paper, with 8 groups and has been cut into two pieces to enable scanning.   I am in Group 4 and my name is the second on the listing.   As there are 3 candidates in this  group, you have up to 2 votes, AND you can vote for the group as well.  YOU CAN ONLY VOTE IN ONE GROUP - YOU CANNOT, SAY, HAVE ONE VOTE IN GROUP 1 AND ANOTHER IN GROUP 4 - if you do, your paper will be spoilt and your vote will not count.
