WATER - THOSE PREVIOUSLY RECEIVING SUPPLY FROM THE MONASTERY OR LEPTOS

Regarding the transfer of water from the Monastery and Leptos, users are reminded that from 1st July all billing for water consumed will be done on a 3 monthly basis as opposed to the previous two.  This may change the price bracket that applies if your water consumption is high and caution is therefore recommend until users see the impact on their water bills.  In any event, please bear in mind that following a very dry winter, water levels in the reservoirs are low and water cuts at some time in the future cannot be ruled out if the dry period continues.

Consumers who have settled their bills through bank transfers to the Monastery or Leptos for their water supply are kindly requested to cancel them and call into Tala Council office with a view to completing a new bank transfer form to enable water bills to be paid to the Council.   To ensure that the bills for the period 1st July to 30th September can be settled by bank transfer, please ensure that you visit the council offices [with details of your bank account and IBAN details] before the 20th September otherwise it will be assumed that you wish to pay your account on a quarterly basis in cash.

Please also bear in mind that to avoid any unnecessary inconvenience, all outstanding debts should be settled with the Monastery or Leptos before existing bank transfers are cancelled and new arrangements made with Tala Council.    In the event that outstanding debts are not settled with the Monastery or Leptos, then your water supply is likely to be affected.

Please also note that Tala Council use a different computer system and bank collection scheme to Kili and Tala therefore require you to visit the council office with your IBAN number and account information if you wish to pay by bank transfer.
