Could I make everyone aware of the need to be very careful when walking your dog. There has been a report of a poisoning in the Koralion/Filippou/Eyangelistrias/Xrisostomou Nikolaou area which regrettably resulted in the death of a much loved family pet. The pain suffered by the dog was witnessed by a teenage girl who is understandably very traumatised by what she saw.
If anyone witnesses any suspicious behaviour or vehicles, please take details and report them to the council office or myself. I am aware of problems with dog fouling in the Koralion area, and also dumping of garden waste on green areas, but you would not expect such incidents to result in poison being laid.
If you walk dogs in the area, please keep them on a lead and be vigilant.
