Now that the temperature has reduced slightly, progress is being made with the road surface as the road is being built up pending the final asphalt layer.
In addition, agreement has been reached with the owner of the plot adjoining what was the site of the slipping building to extend the retaining wall and improve the drainage. These additional works, which have started, are being funded by Tala Council. The cost of these works is around €15,000.
