PAPHOS - 59 DRIVERS ARRESTED IN 12 HOURS - 27 FOR DRINK-DRIVING

A road safety campaign was carried out by members of the Paphos Traffic Police in Paphos Province in which 59 drivers were reported.

According to the Police, during the campaign that took place from 19:00 last night until 07:00 this morning in the areas of Chrysochous Town, Tsadas, Stroubiou, Kathia, Pegias and within the city of Paphos 180 vehicles were checked and 59 complaints arose.

Of the 59 complaints, including 27 relate to driving under the control of alcohol, 4 without MOT, 8 without a registration, 2 infringements of motor vehicle lights, 1 without insurance, 1 for overtaking on a white line, etc.

Campaigns will continue to combat traffic offences.
