A BSI Archival History sampler

Each book published in the series has its own page at the BSI Archival History website, with notes, table of contents, introduction or preface, and acknowledgments (and occasionally other material as well).  I've now added to each a sample of text from the book which seems to me emblematic of the slice of history it covers.
