A EUROPEAN TEST FOR TRAVELLERS CALLED FOR AT EU AIRPORTS

The International Airports Council of Europe (ACI EUROPE), together with 20 other aviation and tourism operators in Europe, are joined by forces and have issued an open letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen asking her to take the initiative to develop and implement a European protocol to test travellers instead of the various quarantine restrictions , in order to create the right conditions for the recovery of the sector. Hermes Airports is also a member of ACI EUROPE.

The initiative, which represents more than 5,000 companies and their employees, stress that there is a lack of coordination and differentiation of the travel restrictions applied. The letter is signed by airlines, airports, ground service companies, tour operators and hotels among other operators in the wider tourism and aviation sector.
