URGENT!
This is a heads up to those who live on a complex with a communal pool. It appears that Paphos Municipality are now starting to issue notices to complexes who have not made an application for a swimming pool licence which says they must close the pool with immediate effect.
Please be alert to any such document arriving in your postbox - it is likely to be in Greek! It appears that the complex is given a month to make the application otherwise legal action will be taken.
My understanding is that if the notice is ignored, a fine can be imposed on a daily basis - so whilst most pools are not being used given the change in weather, please ensure there is someone on the complex looking out for such a notice so they can obtain legal advice as to what needs to be done.
