GLASS RECYCLING POINTS AT PAPANTONIOU SUPERMARKETS

Please note there are now glass recycling points at all Papantoniou Supermarkets in Limassol and Paphos. 

These bins can be used for empty glass bottles of wine, beer, other alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, olive oil, perfumes as well as glass jars, including jars for baby food, sauces, etc.

Any glass for recycling should be placed in the bins please.

Glass products such as glassware, windowpanes and lamps should NOT be placed in the recycling bins.   Such items will need to be taken to the Green Recycling points - the nearest of which are at Geroskipou or Akoursos, near Coral Bay.

After collection the glass is ground and used as raw material for the production of cement and other construction materials.
