APPEAL FROM THE POLICE

In the event that you have noticed suspicious vehicles or people in your area and eventually there is a break-in, the Police have asked that you ensure you mention said suspicious vehicle and/or people in any statement given to them - this helps them if/when culprits are caught as there is then evidence of their presence in the locality.

The Police have also asked me to remind everyone to ensure that they securely lock all windows and doors when leaving their property and to be vigilant for strange vehicles or people when driving or walking away from that property.

With the party season approaching, if you intend to use a taxi or have friends picking you up from the house, it is worth considering having that taxi/friend pick you up from a location different to your actual residence if this is feasible.
