One World Trade Center Construction Update

I visited New York for the first time since the spire was installed atop One World Trade Center. The skyscraper is currently lit up at night in patriotic red, white and blue and it is spectacular.

On May 10, 2013, the final component of the skyscraper's antenna was installed, making One World Trade Center the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and the third-tallest building in the world by pinnacle height, with its antenna reaching a symbolic 1,776 feet (541 m) in reference to the year of the United States Declaration of Independence.
