Am I the Last to Know...
I just found this website Chocomize where you can customize your own chocolate bars. Are you kidding me? This is a dream come true.
Lately, my favorite chocolate combinations have been dark chocolate with sea salt-as it quenches that craving for something both sweet and salty; spicy chocolate with added cayenne pepper, for that extra zing; and lastly, I have always had a love for cinnamon and I can't think of a more perfect combination than cinnamon and chocolate. All of which you can make here, but that would be quite boring when you see how many more selections there are:
First you pick your belgian chocolate: dark, milk, or white...
Then, you can customize with different categories: Nuts, Fruits, Herbs & Spices, Candy, Decorations and More. They even have 23 Karat Gold Flakes.
There are so many fun combinations here that I could spend hours just dreaming up new concoctions. I hope they are as good as they look. I'm off to order...now, to figure out which one...

But, if you don't feel like reading the whole travel page, I am going to give you the short version today.
- I use ORBITZ for most of my travel needs. I don't always use them to book, but I always use them to compare prices. You can get flight, hotel or car through them and sometimes you get a deal if you book them all together.
- Don't be fooled. I stay in a lot of hostels, which are the cheapest option besides camping. You can find a good hostel in any country (even the US!) for anywhere from 5 dollars to...(in NZ, OZ and the US) 30 dollars a person (due to this, if you are in the US, I recommend Motel 6). You can find worldwide hostels at Hostelz.com or Hostelbookers.com.
- If you are going to book a car in the US, use Priceline! First, go to Orbitz. Find out how much they are charging per day for the cheapest car. Then go to Priceline and bid HALF that! Most of the time, somebody will accept it!
- For international flights, I use Kayak. It's basically similar to Orbitz, but on Orbitz, one of your cities has to be in the US. For Kayak, it can be anywhere. You can also book your car and hotel through them.
- I recommend getting a Frequent Flier number, even if you "think" you will only fly that company once. There are partners, so all you really need is the "Big Three" --- United, Delta, American. They are partners with many international airlines, so you can almost always get credit. Plus, you MAY get a FREE flight out of it. Why not do it? What do you have to lose? (the same goes for hotels and cars. You can see my travel tips page for website links)

Now let's go somewhere! Where do you want to go?
This is an A-Z blogfest post. J is for Jets! You can see the rest HERE.
Port Stephen
Port Stephens' rugged headland provides a breeding ground for many rockhopper and gentoo penguins. Just an hour's scenic coastal walk from the settlement lie Wood Cove and Stephens Peak, both excellent for wildlife watching. Further around the south coast, visitors will come across the strange rock formations known as Indian Village. Calm Head, about 2 hours walk from the settlement, has superb views of the jagged shoreline and powerful South Atlantic. A self-catering cottage in the Port Stephens settlement provides a comfortable base from which to explore this area.
Shallow Bay
Shallow Bay is situated on the north coast in an area which affords excellent views towards the islands off north-west Falkland. The Old House is a beautiful, stone-built, photogenic building offering self-catering accommodation and the chance to experience farm life. Horse riding, sea trout and mullet fishing opportunities are available. Tours of the area can be arranged including visits to the miniature ponies at Main Point and penguins at Port North.
April Gold
Have you ever read April Gold? It is such a cute little story. Copyright 1936. It is about a mother, son and daughter who have to sell their family home and move to the wrong side of town because they have lost their money. How they settle into their new life and make it through with determination, family and God. I love the part where the mohter misses her "april gold", so the son digs up all her daffodils and forsythia, and re-plants them at the new house.
I love Grace Livingston Hill books! They are so sweet. And give a good picture of living in the 20, 30s, 40s. Even though it is romantizied!
Federal Glass Pitchers
Also, in the last scene of State Fair, Mrs. Frake uses the same exact pitcher to serve lemonade on the porch!! Isn't that neat! One of the reasons I decided I needed them. State Fair is one of my favorite movies. I love how simple the story line is. And the songs are marvousless!! Who can do better then Rodgers and Hammerstein. Unfortunatly, I couldn't find a clip of the last scene. So I have included a clip of It Might as Well be Spring instead. But! In this song Margy and Mrs. Frake are both wearing aprons! So take note! I think I need to make a Margy apron, don't you? Too cute!
