Elijah – Muhammed ( Elijah Poole ) : Amerika ‘ daki Müslüman zencilerin önderidir . Sandersville ‘ de 1897 ‘ de doğmuş , Chicago ‘ da 1975 ‘ te ölmüştür . Bir baptist vaizinin oğludur . 1923 ‘ te Detroit ‘ e yerleşti . Wali Farad adında peygamber olduğunu iddia eden esrarlı bir kişinin müridi oldu . 1930 ‘ da İslam ‘ ı kabul etti .Farad öldükten sonra Amerika ‘ daki black muslim ‘ lerin ( zenci Müslümanlar ) önderi oldu . Bu akımı 1930 ‘ ların zor iktisadi şartlarına rağmen sürdürebildi . Askerlik yoklamalarına karşı çıktığı için tutuklandığı 1924 ‘ lere kadar bu hareketi sürdürdü . Karargahını Chicago ‘ da kurmuştu . Tanrının sözcüsü olduğunu iddia ediyordu . 1942 ‘ te kapatılan Chicago tapınağının açılış iznini 1945 ‘ te elde etti ve de bu hareketi sürdürmede önemli bir adım atmış oldu . Beyazlardan tamamen ayrılma siyasetini benimseyen Elijah , sonunda öğrencilerinden Malcolm X ‘ in Zenci cumhuriyet kurma fikrini kabul etti . Başkan Kennedy ‘ nin öldürülmesinden sonra Elijah – Muhammed ile Malcolm X arasında anlaşmazlık çıktı . Malcolm X , Elijah – Muhammed ‘ in iyiliğini istiyordu . Başarılı olması için ona yardım etmeye çalışmıştı . İkisi arasında çıkan anlaşmazlık bu dayanışmaya gölge düşürecek seviyede değildir .

In United States of America, There are two great leaders who contribute their whole life for African-American freedom and black people’s liberty. One is Martin Luther King Jr was a great African-American leader who believed in non violence and followed Christianity and the another was Malcolm X who was believed in revolution and followed Islam.
Different religion, different thinking and different ideology but the core aim is freedom and identity for black people in America. Both leaders were assassinated through gun shots at the age of 39. Malcolm X was killed at 1965 and Martin Luther King Jr was at 1968.
Malcolm X (1925-1965) was an African-American human-rights activist and Muslim Minister. By Born his was “Malcolm-Little” later he was convert into Islam through his brother which was influenced by Elijah Muhammad. His father was arrested and killed by white supremacists. Soon his mother was placed in mental hospital and he was sent to Forster home. At the age of 20, 1946 Malcolm X was prison for various illegal activities especially in drug trade. In 1952, Malcolm accepted Islam while he was in prison and joined as a member in “Nation of Islam” very soon he became one of the leaders in this Organisation which was lead by Elijah Muhammad. In 1964, he leaves the Nation of Islam and he founded the Organization of Afro-American Unity and Muslim Mosque, Inc.
In 1965, he was assassinated by three groups of members in Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom theatre with 21 gunshots in his body.
