The library has just added a new Local History and Genealogy newsletter to our NextReads service. On July 14th at 7:00pm, we are proud to present Long Island’s Ruins, a presentation by John Leita and Kevin Vagle. John and Kevin are passionate about their work and have spent much time documenting our local ruins and reminders of the past. Through pictures, videos and discussions, they will weave a tapestry of Long Island’s history including old military fortifications, ruins from industries past, the Guilded Age and more!
