Recently, at the 50th day get together of Aptha Rakshaka, Dr. Vishnuvardhan's 200th film, at Bengaluru City Institute, Dr. BS Yediyurappa, the Chief Minister of Karnataka has expressed interest in watching the movie. According to producer Krishna Prajwal, Aptha Rakshaka has garnered about Rs. 25 crores in 50 days. Rs. 5 lakh has been donated to the Flood Relief Fund of the Karnataka government and for making a huge statue of Dr Vishnuvaradhan at the memorial of the actor next to Abhiman Studio. Prajwal is having thoughts about making the Hindi version of the film, starring Akshay Kumar. The event was attended by just Avinash and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy as all the other artistes and technicians were busy with some work or the other. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy stated that she was always ready to pay her respect and homage to Dr. Vishnuvardhan and it is the respect that made her attend the function. Kannada actor Avinash has been signed on for the Telugu version of Aptha Rakshaka. It is produced by Suresh and stars starring the prominent Telugu star Venkatesh. Avinash also remarked that his affection for Dr. Vishnuvardhan had brought him to the occasion. |
