Mental Danger: "The Burnout"
Everyone needs motivation. Whether that be an old picture, a certain song, health motivation, or even a motivational speech on YouTube. The fact remains the same that everyone needs that drive to want to improve their current physical state. The presence of a better physical state can often translate into a better mental state as well. This same motivation can also be the downfall of any workout plan. Sometimes people can become too motivated. This usually results in overdoing it by going to the gym everyday and not letting your body acclimate to the new shock of working out. This theory holds even more truth with people who don't workout every day. The most common way to avoid this is to have a set plan for when you start a workout plan. You need to go into the gym everyday with a set amount of goals to achieve for that day and then to leave after that and not over do it. Another amazing thing that almost every gym offers is a personal trainer. These people are very well educated on the proper way to go about setting up a workout plan that will get you in shape without getting you burned out.
Physical Danger: "Rhabdomyolysis"
This physical danger is something that you need to worry about a significant amount more than the mental burnout. The physical danger's name is Rhabdomyolysis, a condition in which muscle tissue damage can release harmful toxins into your bloodstream. This danger is by far one of the most serious and frequent conditions that can occur while working out. In detail, Rhabdomyolysis is most commonly associated with severe trauma or over exertion. What happens on the muscular level is when your muscles are injured (due to over exertion or trauma), your muscles will release whatever they are holding into the bloodstream. Some of these things that are released into the bloodstream can be very harmful to the body. One in particular, the protein known as myoglobin, is very poisonous to the kidneys. If enough is present with the blood stream, you can even begin to go into kidney failure. Another hazard of this is that once you've had it once you begin to become more and more prone to them, like a heat stroke. The easiest way to avoid this is to stay very well hydrated and don't overdo it at the gym. You didn't get out of shape in one day. You won't get in shape in one day.
