Amsterdam Guide

Every city has a different and interesting story. We five friends said "Let's go to Amsterdam" and last month visited :) I can say easily that Amsterdam is a city of freedom.

Almost every street has a sex shop and Amsterdam has also a special "Red Light District" which has the rooms for sex.

Every street has a canal ( total more than 200 canals) and each canal has very lovely bridges. Amsterdam also is made for bicyles. You can go anywhere with a bike because thre is no hill in Amsterdam. You can see men which are in their suits or teenangers even very old people while riding a bike. The most transportation is riding bike so you must be very careful while walking.Dont walk on bike roads.People can hurt you!

So what can you do in Amsterdam?

You can visit the museums like Van Gogh ot Anne Frank if you are interested in the art.You can drink very famous beers like Heineken while visiting museum of it and create your own beer for 6 euros. Do you want to see famous people ? So you can visit Madam Tussauds to see famous people's  waxwork.

After than you can take boat tour and see the old houses in Amsterdam from the boat. Tip: Get a card from Heineken Museum when you enter so from the port of Heineken Museum the boat tour for 15 mins will be free ;)

You can rent a bike to discover Amsterdam.( Just 14 Euros for 4 days)
Taking photo is not allowed but I did lol

Sex is legal at Red Light District but taking the photo is not allowed. This district also has coffees. (The coffeeshop  list) You also see blue lights on tht street but you must be careful about them :)

You can also visit flower market and get tulip seeds and see more than 1000 different cheeses. We got some and they are awesome.
                                                                   Cone of Potato

You can get a cone of potato as a snack from every corner. We got a big one every day!

                                                                      Voldenpark

You can rest in Voldenpark( A video about Voldenpark) which is the biggest park in Amsterdam.

                                                             They are really cheap

You can get cheap but wonderful bags (just 5 euros)  from second hand market ( Top 5 hand stores in Amsterdam)

Night Life

I told you the rituel is really different lol

Supper Club is seems like a night club but it is not a night club. Supper means dinner in American English so you can get really good dinner which are served by wonderful girls. But I must warn you the dinner takes about four hours because it has some traditional rituels. I enjoyed it.

Our kebap or Italy's pizza are famous so what is famous in Amsterdam. Actually there is nothing which is famous in Amsterdam. I tasted waffles but honestly I can say it was better in Belgium. But I can offer you some coffee shops or restaurants which I enjoyed.

Amsterdam: The Venice Of The North

If your are opting for a European vacation, be sure not to miss the majestic city of Amsterdam, Netherlands in the province of North Holland. You'll be amazed of how the classic way of living is harmoniously blending with today's modern sophistication. Interesting isn't it? But before you ever think of flying there, it's interesting to know first the basic facts about the city.

Amsterdam is the capital and the biggest city of Netherlands. The city basically got its name from its origin: “Amstel dam”, meaning a “dam in the river Amstel” where the Dam Square is today. In a bird's eye-view, the city is shaped like a horseshoe surrounded by four famous canals namely: Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht. Dug in the 17th century for the purpose of residential development, defense and water management, the canals of Amsterdam led the city to being termed as the “Venice of the North”.

Aside from the historical canals, other major attractions in Amsterdam include: the Rijksmuseum – it holds the country's largest collection of arts and artifacts, including 40 Rembrandts and four Vermeers, dating back from the 15 century; the Van Gogh Museum, showcasing 200 paintings and 500 drawings of the world-famous artist, Vincent van Gogh; Ann Frank House, the 17th century canalside house of the Jewish young girl Anne Frank. Her story and life during World War II was known through her kept diary. As it was published, tens of millions of copies of the diary have been printed and distributed worldwide in a total of 55 languages; and the most famous and most visited of all is Amsterdam's Red Light District. Here, prostitution has been legalized. Most visitors who happen to visit this place find the experience incredibly fascinating. Another fact, besides prostitution, the use of cannabis here in Amsterdam is allowed or at least decriminalized. In fact, there are many cannabis coffee shops around the area.

Despite criticisms and discretionary views with the issue of morality in Amsterdam, more and more visitors still flock here; even more curious of this liberal haven. Besides, locals themselves remain indifferent about this issue. Above all, it continuous to draw 4.2 million tourists each year.
