At night, Khushi is sleeping and Arnav is looking at her. He sees that there still are 5 minutes left of Khushi's birthday. So he sits beside her on the bed. He has tears in his eyes (OMG, I so badly wanted a redemption track then why can't I see him this way? Argh!! Arnav, stop making act like a phangurlStern Smile). He puts a stick of rose beside her pillow and Rabba Ve plays in the BG. He says he wishes she would get all the happiness in the world and kisses her foreheadDay Dreaming He turns away and Khushi opens her eyes. She also feels bad seeing him this way. He gets up and leaves. Just as he turns around and looks at her, she pretends to sleep again. When he goes away, Khushi again opens her eyes.
In the morning, NK is eating cake outside Arnav's room. Arnav comes out and asks why he called him up early in the morning. NK asks who cut the cake. Arnav says he made her cut itROFL.ROFL But NK is appalled to know that Arnav wished Khushi while she was sleepingROFL.ROFL He begins giving a very disinterested Arnav some tips (very cheesy ones) and Arnav looks positively horrifiedROFL.ROFL
Arnav wonders why he is listening to NK's rubbish and NK says because he is the only husband who wishes his wife while she is sleepingROFL.ROFL (These two are hilarious togetherROFL).
Nani is surprised to see Arnav up so early in the morning. Arnav asks her if she can make some special dish she used to make when he was little. Nani is a little taken aback but agrees to make.
HP gives Anjali the dish Nani had made and Anjali is surprised but happy. Just as she is about to eat, she gets a call from the doctor as a reminder for her monthly check up. This makes her sad again as she remembers Shyam again, when she'd given him the news of her pregnancy and how he had bought things for their baby.
Nani, Akash, Arnav and Manorma sit at the table. Payal serves Akash and he ignores her (as usual *yawn*). Khushi also comes down. Arnav hints her to sit beside him but she sits on the opposite side and NK sits there insteadROFL.ROFL He asks Arnav if he did anything special for Khushi. Nani tells Khushi she likes puri-aloo so she should taste. She herself had made it. Manorma says the daughters-in-law don't even lift their finger. Nani reminds her that she is also a daughter-in-lawROFL.ROFL Arnav tries to talk to Khushi aakhon-aankhon mein but Khushi still doesn't talk to him. NK again starts off playing love guruROFL.ROFL NK announces that Arnav had gotten the breakfast made for Khushi and Khushi starts coughing at thisTongue She says she doesn't feel well and maybe she should just have milk and nothing else. She leaves the breakfast table and Arnav follows her. He says she can't ignore everything he is doing. He will give her a surprise which she will have to like.
Anjali wants to ask Arnav if he wants to go to the appointment with her. But she overhears him planning a surprise for Khushi. She starts leaving but Arnav calls her back and asks if she wants anything but Anjali refuses. He asks her all sorts of questions about her health and she assures him everything is fine but he is still worried. Anjali, on the other hand, is also sad as she feels Arnav has gone very far away from her (You know, i sympathise with Anjali as much as anyone else but this attitude is not suitable for a woman her age. Even a 16 year old has more maturity! She sees Arnav showering love on Khushi and she feels so insecure that she cannot see the love he has for her when she is the one who treated him like crap when he tried to be there for her!)
Akash realises he has forgotten his hanky and Payal gets it for him. Just then, Manorma also gets on for him and he takes it from his mother and leaves. Khushi sees Payal being left heartbroken (Payal needs some spunk like Khushi in dealing with her husband. Akash is seriously getting on my last nerve now. What a chauvinist!)
Nani tells Payal and Khushi that she wants them to go with her to the temple in the evening. Khushi says Anjali might not like them coming with her.
Arnav is working in his room on the laptop and wondering why Khushi is taking so long to come back. Finally, Khushi comes but doesn't speak to him. Arnav says that her clothes have come and are on the bed. Khushi starts arranging them when she sees a gift kept beneath them. She doesn't even touch the gift and puts the clothes in the almirah. Arnav gets annoyed at this. He puts the gift somewhere else but she still doesn't take it and goes away. Arnav picks up the gift and waves it in front of her face to make her see it for sure.
